There is a new patch available for Penumbra: Overture HaptX Edition. The patch contains major upgrades to the
core engine of Overture and a new HaptX Navigation Mode. Playing Overture using the Falcon, the player can now
switch between a full 3D Navigation Mode, and a 2.5D Navigation Mode, which greatly improves the game play.

where visitors can experience games such as Quake 4, Half Life 2,
Penumbra: Overture and Black Plague first hand. Novint Falcons will
also be available for the first time to consumers in Sweden and the
rest of Europe for purchase at DreamHack as well as on the HaptX web site.

Reachin Technologies and Paradox Interactive announced today an agreement to embed HaptX in upcoming game Penumbra: Black Plague.
The first person horror adventure game Penumbra: Black Plague is focused around story, suspense, immersion and puzzles.
Instead of using violence to progress the player has to use his/her wits to guide the main character Philip throughout
the game. HaptX and the Novint Falcon promises to further enhance the chilling atmosphere and player interaction
with everything that is visible on the screens.
"Our cooperation with developer Frictional Games started with Penumbra: Overture and we are incredibly pleased that both
Paradox Interactive and Frictional Games, opted to continue using HaptX in the final chapter of the Penumbra series.
This type of game is a perfect fit for our technology and gives the player the means to physically interact and experience
the environment like never before. We have since pushed the boundaries of our technology further and look forward to seeing
the impact on Black Plague ", said Mats Lordin, CEO of Reachin Technologies.

The standard PC version of Penumbra: Black Plague is scheduled for release in February. The HaptX Edition will be released

The HaptX edition of the celebrated game Penumbra: Overture is coming December 15, 2007.
Penumbra: Overture is a first person adventure game which focuses on story, immersion and puzzles.
Played from a first person viewpoint, Penumbra is very different from other adventure games. Not only
is it powered by a 3D engine utilizing cutting edge technology including an advanced physics system,
it now also embeds HaptX which allow for a never before seen environment interaction.
The player can actually physically feel the game including touching objects and feeling their weights.
Through HaptX and a 3D Touch Controller such as the Novint Falcon opening drawers, pulling levers and
picking up objects becomes more intuitive, fun and interesting creating a highly interactive and
immersive game world.
